In recent years, Carnival also has deployed two of its vessels to Australia to operate voyages from Sydney and Brisbane. In a departure from Carnival's American-focused business model, the Australia sailings are aimed mostly at the local Australian market, though they are open to American travelers. The overarching idea for Carnival's ship deployments is that a large percentage of the U.S. population can reach one of the line's ships by car, saving the cost of flights.

The social and value plans cost $18 and $23 per day, respectively, when bought onboard a ship. Carnival also offers a less expensive "social" plan that only allows access to key social networking sites (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc.) and messaging services such as WhatsApp for $15.30 a day when bought in advance.
Carnival's newer ships have relatively few such cabins, as generally cabins that face outwards now are built with balconies. Before you book your cruise, you will want to know which stateroom you should call your own. It could also depend on whether you’re cruising solo, plus-one, with the family or as a group. However, depending on the size of the ship, they could be farther from entertainment and dining areas. The younger children in this age range (12-14) are grouped into what's known as Circle C and have their own dedicated lounge on ships. In short, there's a ton to do up top on Carnival vessels — and it's almost all available to every passenger on board the vessels at no extra charge (the roller coaster is the only exception). An upscale feeling bar, Prime Meridian is located between Cagney’s Steakhouse and Modern Churrascaria, two of the specialty restaurants onboard. This location hosts both the comedy shows onboard, as well as the dueling piano show. This lounge offers a cozy environment, perfect for taking in an evening show while sipping on a delicious drink. I found this show very entertaining and a definite must-watch on any NCL Getaway sailing. While enjoying the show, the guests sitting next to us commented that they enjoy the show so much, that they had watched it three times while on our sailing.

I think it’s the original (and thus older) ship, but for some reason, the vibe flowed better for me and I liked its selection of restaurants.
